Targeting Offenders (May 2013)

The Smart Policing Initiative presented a webinar on “Targeting Offenders” on Thursday, May 16, 2013 from 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm Eastern Time. Scott Decker, Ph.D., Director of the School of Criminology and Criminal Justice at Arizona State University, and a Subject Matter Expert with the SPI Team, facilitated an online seminar on Targeting Offenders. He led a discussion and learning session, touching on logistical aspects of developing and maintaining targeted offender lists, examples of how other departments have incorporated such lists into their crime control initiatives, and some suggestions regarding maintaining the target offender strategy once it is initiated.
