Technology and Policing

The Smart Policing Initiative presented a webinar titled “Technology and Policing.” Charles Stephenson, a public safety technologist who for the past 10 years has assisted public safety agencies in addressing their technology needs and challenges, facilitated this online seminar on Technology and Policing. He discussed assessing the impact of implementing technology and the do’s and don’ts when agencies are considering the use of technology. Additionally during the seminar he reviewed several new and emerging technologies currently in use by law enforcement, along with several promising future technologies.
