An important component of the SPI is the application of evidence-based practices to improve policing operations. The Systematic Reviews Research Program at George Mason University is committed to investigation "what work" in crime prevention. The Program partnered with the Campbell Collaboration Users Group to develop plain-language summaries of the effects of various police tactics on addressing crime issues. A selection of these summaries are accessible below, and more may be found at the Program's website.
